Inspired by a family of passionate gardeners and with six years of experience working in local flower shops, Laurie opened Hen & Chicks in the spring of 2009. Her first project - a garden design and installation - led her on a journey of self discovery and ultimately turned her passion into her career.

When Laurie is not immersed in designing for weddings or barefoot in the garden, she is seeking inspiration from her surroundings - in the mountains, in the desert, or on the coast.

Hen & Chicks is a boutique garden and floral design studio in Calgary, Alberta. We keep inspired by a constant change of pace whether it’s planting an urban garden or designing florals for a mountain wedding.
